Huge skyscrapers full of bright, colourful lights illuminated the dark sky. Blinking away the disorientation, I found myself in a world unlike any I had ever seen before. My eyes struggled to adjust as I took in the dizzying view around me.

I was awestruck as I beheld the strange beauty before me. The city was small in size but teeming with life. It was an odd mix of modernity and ancient architecture. All around us, buildings of glass and metal clawed at the perpetual night sky, skyscrapers pierced the Heavens, their glass exteriors reflecting the vibrant neon lights that lined the streets below. The streets bustled with various beings, some more human-like and others more monstrous or demonic in appearance. A cacophony of sounds filled the air—laughter, screeching, and the hum of strange music accompanied by the occasional roar of a beast.

"Welcome to Sodom," Enrique announced, spreading his arms wide. "Home of the wicked and the depraved. You'll fit right in. It's not something most humans—or any—get to see," he explained, his muscular form silhouetted against the bright lights of the metropolis. His leathery wings twitched slightly, betraying his underlying excitement at our arrival.

"Wow," Andrew breathed, echoing my thoughts. "It's like something out of a sci-fi movie." He looked around while he scratched his full beard.

"Indeed," Enrique agreed. "Sabnock has always had a fascination with the progress of the human world. He's brought many of those advancements here, melding them with our own magic and traditions."

"Is he the one who created this place?" I asked, unable to tear my eyes away from a trio of hooded figures who seemed to glide down the street as if they were floating.

"More or less," Enrique replied. "He's the ruler of this realm, and his influence is felt in every corner of the city."

As we walked further into the city, I noticed that despite the dazzling lights and bustling activity, there was an undercurrent of tension. The inhabitants cast furtive glances over their shoulders and whispered hurriedly amongst themselves. It occurred to me that this city wasn't just a place of innovation and wonder but also a place ruled by fear.

"Tell me," I asked Enrique as we walked, keeping my voice low so that only he could hear. "Why are you helping us? What's in it for you? Just for the feeding?"

"Isn't it obvious?" Enrique replied, grinning at me. "I like you, Hazel. You fascinate me, and I want to learn more about you."

"By feeding off my desire?" I asked sceptically.

"Of course," he said, nodding. "Desire is a powerful force; it drives us all, whether we realise it or not. And you and your kind... well, you're a veritable feast for someone like me."

"Be careful what you wish for," I warned him, my heart pounding in my chest. "Desire can be a dangerous thing."

"Indeed," Enrique agreed, his eyes darkening. "But danger is what makes life interesting, don't you think?"

"Perhaps," I replied, watching the lights of the city. "But sometimes, safety is what we need most.
